XYZ-Wing Sudoku Technique — Expert Wing Pattern

A Trivalue pivot and two Bivalue wings link like a Y; anything that sees all three cells loses the EliminationDigit.

How it works

Start by finding the Pivot

The Pivot can be any cell that has only three candidates.

Locate the Wings

From the Pivot, look for two more Wing cells . Each Wing shares two digits with the Pivot.

Note

The wing cells must the Pivot.

The wing cells must not each other.

Notice the relationship

No matter the order these cells are filled, at least one of them has to be 2.

Eliminate from shared peers

We know for certain that one these 2's is true. We can safely eliminate 2 from any cell that all of them.
